Chapter 3: The Enchanted Forest

Alka and her companions left the Skydancer village, bidding farewell to their new friends. They continued their journey through the mountains, flying over deep gorges and through narrow valleys. The Mysterious Old Man led the way, his keen senses guiding them towards their next destination.

After several hours of flying, they reached the edge of a vast forest. The trees towered high into the sky, their branches interweaving to form a dense canopy. The air was filled with the sweet scent of wildflowers and the chirping of birds.

As they entered the forest, Alka felt a strange sensation. The air around her seemed to be charged with magic, and she could feel a mysterious energy pulsing through the trees. The Mysterious Old Man noticed her unease and explained that they had entered the Enchanted Forest, a place where magic and mystery reigned supreme.

As they flew deeper into the forest, Alka saw strange and wondrous sights. There were talking animals, glowing mushrooms, and sparkling streams that seemed to flow uphill. Alka was both amazed and frightened, for she had never experienced anything like this before.

The Young Lad, however, was fascinated by the magical creatures they encountered. He chased after a group of talking squirrels, eager to hear what they had to say. The Mysterious Old Man cautioned him to be careful, as not all the creatures in the forest were friendly.

As they flew over a glittering river, Alka heard a strange sound. It was a high-pitched whine, coming from somewhere deep in the forest. She flew closer, and soon they saw the source of the noise: a beautiful unicorn, trapped in a thorn bush.

The Mysterious Old Man and the Young Lad landed beside the unicorn and tried to free it from the thorns. But the thorns seemed to be enchanted, and they cut deep into their scales and flesh. Alka, however, was determined to help the unicorn and flew above the thorns.

With a powerful blast of fire, she burned away the thorn bush, freeing the unicorn. The creature was overjoyed and thanked them for their help. "You have saved my life," it said. "I owe you a debt of gratitude."

As they continued on their way, the unicorn joined them, leading them through the forest towards their next destination. They flew over shimmering lakes and through tangled vines, always on the lookout for new adventures.

But just as they thought they had left the Enchanted Forest behind, they heard a loud roar. It was a ferocious dragon, twice the size of Alka, and it was blocking their path.

To be continued...
